The Perfect Look for Thanksgiving

Maroon outfit for the holidays

What to where on Thanksgiving

Thanksgiving look

Thanksgiving is just around the corner and whether you are staying in, hosting or attending family or friend’s dinners, it’s fun to think about the type of Thanksgiving outfits you will bring to the table. I decided to show two different types of Fall fashion looks, a more chic dressier option and then a more casual chic option. What I love about both of these looks are how simple they are to style and how comfortable they are for an all day event, even after eating all that food!

For the first dressier outfit above, these maroon high-waisted pants from New York and Company make pairing them with different tops a breeze. I went with this off the shoulder maroon top to really achieve a one color tone look, creating a holiday festive vibe. I don’t know what it is, but there is something about maroon outfits that make it feel like the holiday season. By adding the nude shoes and pink bag with the taupe pea coat it really pulls the look together and plays on this season’s Fall trends, making this outfit the perfect chic look for a Thanksgiving gathering.

Moving on to the casual plaid blazer outfit, I loved pairing this look with denim because although I styled a blazer, I love the way the denim gives a casual vibe. When thinking of the top, I wanted to pair it with this plaid jacket, I looked to the actual print for inspiration. There is a mild detail of yellow lines in this plaid blazer so I thought what better way to add in Fall for a Thanksgiving gathering than by adding in this yellow neck-tie tank top to the mix. By playing on different accessories, I add in this black circle bag and heels (you can even wear flats) to create the perfect casual yet chic vibe for a festive dinner date with friends and family.
